SC Freiburg: Alexander Vivell elected chairman of the supervisory board, Gernot Pöpperl deputy chairman

Alexander Vivell has been elected chairman of the supervisory board of SC Freiburg (Bundesliga), with Gernot Pöpperl as deputy chairman, the club announced on 12 October 2026.

The supervisory board, elected for a term running until 2030 at the club’s general meeting on Thursday 8 October 2026, held its constituent meeting the following weekend.

A lawyer by training, Alexander Vivell works as a notary in Freiburg. He has followed the club for years as a member, season ticket holder and supporter.

Werner Blank, Denise Böhm, Gabi Furtwängler, Helen Hall-Salomon, Christoph Sennekamp, Edith Sitzmann and Hannelore Stocker were also elected to the supervisory board.
