Balogun case: "Amendment to Article 27 submitted for approval to the 16 December Council" (RBFA)

Pascale Van Damme, president of the Royal Belgian Football Association, "in her capacity as a member of the Council, confirms that FIFA will amend Article 27 and submit the proposed amendment for approval in Doha on 16 December. The specific circumstances of the Balogun case will also be communicated," the RBFA said at the end of the 37^th Council meeting, held at the Home of FIFA in Zurich (Switzerland) on 15 October 2026.

The Balogun case was addressed at this meeting of the FIFA Council, which said "it was agreed that a review of FIFA’s disciplinary procedures will be undertaken by FIFA’s Legal Committee and a presentation will also be made at the next FIFA Council meeting in December 2026."
