"The elements behind our success in Spain can be replicated in other markets. In Spain, we are of course number one, with very high audiovisual rights, as should be the case for any national league in its domestic market. But outside Spain, we are competing with other sports properties. We have broadcasting contracts in more than 100 markets, and the negotiating strategy changes depending on the territory concerned, the aim always being to capture a share of that interest for other competitions," Javier Tebas, president of LALIGA, said at Sportel Monaco 2026 on 20 October 2026.
