NBA: Kalshi and Polymarket named preferred prediction market exchanges under new "integrity framework"

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has established an "integrity framework" to govern its commercial partnerships with prediction market platforms and has signed its first two agreements in this segment, with US operators Polymarket and Kalshi, the North American basketball league announced on 26 October 2026.

The initiative combines two elements:
• a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the independent US federal authority responsible for regulating derivatives markets;
• partnerships with Kalshi and Polymarket, which become the NBA’s "preferred prediction market exchanges."
