FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) will face AFC Ajax (VriendenLoterij Eredivisie) in a friendly to inaugurate the new Raila Odinga national stadium in Nairobi (Kenya) on 5 January 2027, the Bundesliga announced on 28 October 2026.

The 60,000-capacity stadium was built for the 2027 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place from 19 June to 18 July 2027. The tournament will be played in three countries for the first time: Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

"No player from Kenya has ever played in the Bundesliga, but Bayern have had some stars of African football down the years, from Sammy Kuffour (GHA) to Sadio Mané (SEN), Nicolas Jackson (SEN) and now Ismael Saibari (MAR)," the German league said.
