FC Bayern Munich won the 2014-15 Bundesliga with 79 points (25 wins, 4 draws and 5 losses), the 25th domestic championship for the club, extending its own record for the competition. VfL Wolfsburg won the 2014-15 DFB-Pokal (3-1 over Borussia Dortmund on 30/05/2015), the first domestic cup win for the club.

For the second season in a row, Hamburger SV avoided relegation by winning the promotion/relegation play-off. Hamburger thus remain the only club to be continually present in the Bundesliga since the inception of the league in 1963.

  • The German championship remains the third rated league association, just behind England, in the UEFA overall (5 year) coefficient rankings (as of 16/06/2015) with a 79.415 point total
    • This is less than one point behind England (80.391 points) in second place.
    • Germany finished third the UEFA coefficient rankings for the 2014-15 season with a point average of 15.857, behind Spain and Italy, and ahead of England and France.
