The Manchester United FC - Tottenham Hotspur FC fixture will open the 2015-16 Barclays Premier League season on Saturday 08/08/2015 at 12:45 GMT (13:45 CET) on the pay-TV channel BT Sport, announced the Premier League, which presented the distribution of TV broadcasts in the United Kingdom for the first two months of the 2015-16 season (August and September) on 03/07/2015.

For the first time in the history of the Premier League, a match will be scheduled on Friday evening: this is the Aston Villa FC - Manchester United FC (Matchday 2) on 14/08/2015, broadcast live on the pay-TV channel Sky Sports. No other match is scheduled on Friday night in August or September 2015 (the TV programming for October and November 2015 will be announced in late July 2015).

Sky Sports acquired, on 10/02/2015, within Lot E of domestic broadcast rights from 2016 to 2019 for the Premier League, 10 matches per season scheduled on Friday night at 20:00 GMT (21:00 CET). The Premier League had not communicated, before 03/07/2015, its intention to test broadcasts on Friday night for the 2015-16 season.
