Premier League: SAP (IT and software) becomes a partner of Manchester City and the CFG clubs

SAP, the German IT software design group, has become a partner of CFG (City Football Group, the conglomerate which owns the majority shares of Manchester City FC, New York City FC, Melbourne City FC and a minority stake in Yokohama F Marinos), announced both parties on 07/07/2015. The agreement includes at least the 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.

SAP will be the software solutions supplier to the four clubs. The company wants to offer -- notably via cloud computing -- solutions to streamline the group global operations, increase productivity and enhance the fan experience with the installation of an interactive digital wall at Etihad Stadium in Manchester (ENG). SAP will provide software to analyse and manage all data, ticketing and merchandising operations. The SAP Sports One solution will provide all four clubs a unified platform to manage their teams and players, as well as to analyse and contextualise data to optimise performance, stated the IT company.
