2014-15 Ligue 1 review: PSG win third consecutive title, Lyon and Monaco to the Champions League

Paris Saint-Germain won the 2014-15 Ligue 1 with 83 points (24 wins, 11 draws and 3 losses). This is the third consecutive domestic championship for the Parisians, and the fifth overall. PSG also achieved the French domestic "treble" by winning the 2014-15 Coupe de la Ligue (4-0 over SC Bastia on 11/04/2015) and the 2014-15 Coupe de France (1-0 over AJ Auxerre on 30/05/2015). These are the fifth and ninth trophies, respectively, for these two cups.

This is the first time Paris Saint-Germain have won the domestic treble of trophies, which amounts to four trophies overall in 2014-15, counting the 2014 Trophée des Champions (French Super Cup, PSG - EA Guincamp, 2-0 on 02/08/2014).

Joining PSG in the 2015-16 Champions League will be Olympique Lyonnais, making its first appearance in the Group Stage since 2011-12. Meanwhile 2013-14 Champions League quarter-finalists AS Monaco must begin their 2015-16 Champions League campaign in the Third Qualifying Round.
