FIFA: American Chuck Blazer banned for life from any football related activity

"The adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee, chaired by Hans-Joachim Eckert, has decided to ban the former FIFA Executive Committee member and CONCACAF General Secretary Chuck Blazer from taking part in any kind of football-related activity at national and international level for life," announced FIFA on 09/07/2015.

The American Chuck Blazer had previously held the posts of general secretary of CONCACAF from 1990 to 2011 and as a member of the executive committee of FIFA from 1997 to 2013. In April 2013, FIFA opened an investigation into Blazer; saying that the US football administrator had potentially committed several breaches of the code of ethics of FIFA. This procedure was suspended in May 2013 and reopened in December 2014.

"The decision was taken on the basis of investigations carried out by the investigatory chamber of the Ethics Committee in response to the final report of the CONCACAF Integrity Committee and the latest facts presented by the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York," said FIFA.
