ECA: European clubs release 80 players for the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup, 29% of the 276 total players

European clubs have released 80 players (out of a total of 276, or 29%) to play in the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup (organised in the USA from 07 to 26/07/2015), announced the ECA on 06/07/2015.

In total 75 European clubs from 22 different countries released players for the North and Central America and the Caribbean championship. This is up 53% from the 2013 Gold Cup (49 European clubs releasing players).

The country that released the most players was England, which released 21 players from 20 clubs, followed by Italy (9 players from 9 clubs) and Spain (8 players from 6 clubs).
