Transfers: FIFPro will file a complaint with the European Commission on 17/09/2015

FIFPro will file a complaint with the European Commission against FIFA regarding the current system of transfers on 17/09/2015, announced the international union of professional footballers on 10/07/2015. A FIFPro delegation was on hand at the headquarters of the UNFP in Paris (FRA) to discuss "reforms indispensable to the survival of professional football in the world, including that of the transfer system", on 08/07/2015.

Proceedings before the EU Court of Justice will also be initiated. FIFPro, and its president Philippe Piat, have repeatedly, since spring 2013, threatened to file a complaint against the current transfer system of to European authorities. "This (legal process) is now irrevocable," said Philippe Piat, who is also the co-chair of the UNFP (Union of footballers in France) and the LFP, on 10/07/2015.
