Bundesliga: Rewe (supermarkets) becomes a partner of Hamburger SV until 2016-17

The German supermarket chain Rewe has become a partner of Hamburger SV (Bundesliga) until 2016-17, announced the club on 11/07/2015. The contract, signed with the group's subsidiary Rewe Nord, was brokered by the agency Sportfive.

The agreement was presented during the "Rewe Family Festival", which is organised by the group adjacent to the Volksparkstadion (57,000 seats). Rewe wants to regularly activate the partnership in its 500 supermarkets in northern Germany.

The group also sponsors for 1. FC Köln (Bundesliga) until the end of the 2017-18 season for an annual amount estimated at €6m, and is also a partner of Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) and the DFB.

• The association Hamburger Sport-Verein eV and the subsidiary HSV Sport AG achieved a combined turnover of €145.37m in 2012-13, with a net loss of €9.8m.
• The total debt of the group stood at €99.58m on 30/06/2013.
