The Qatari pay-TV beIN Media Group reached an agreement with MLS for the broadcasting of Major League Soccer, for the 2015-2018 period, in Australia and in six countries in south-east Asia on 14/07/2015. The six Asian countries are Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, the Philippines and Thailand.

In the seven countries covered by the agreement, beIN Sports will broadcast two regular season games each week, at least two matches of the 34th and final matchday of the regular season ("Decision Day" on 25/10/2015 for the 2015 season), the AT&T MLS All-Star Game, all play-off matches and the MLS Cup, the final of the North American championship.

In addition, beIN Sports will broadcast summaries of matches, reports and other MLS content on its digital platforms. "This groundbreaking partnership with beIN Sports creates a new platform to increase MLS’ exposure across the region (in South-east Asia and Australia)," said Gary Stevenson, the president and managing director of MLS Business Ventures, on 14/07/2015.
