Infront: two Chinese companies want to acquire a 5% stake from Dalian Wanda for €18.1m

Shanghai Oriental Pearl Media Co. Ltd., a Chinese company specialising in audiovisual technical services and content, and China Media Capital want to jointly acquire 5% stake in the Swiss marketing rights and media rights agency Infront Sports & Media, for €18,079,700, announced Shanghai Oriental Pearl Media Co. Ltd. on 16/07/2015. The transaction would value Infront at €362m.

China Media Capital is a Chinese investment fund specialising in the culture industry, media and new technologies. It is headed by Li Ruigang, who was the president, until January 2015, of the Chinese state-owned company SMG (Shanghai Media Group), the main shareholder of China Media Capital and parent company of Shanghai Oriental Pearl Media Co. Ltd. SMG notably holds, in China, the TV channel Great Sports Channel and the IPTV channel BesTV.
