"As a pay-TV viewer, you should be given a really immersive experience, and not just watching one channel on your TV, but being able to see multiple camera options or different feeds. Broadcasters need to make the content a far more interactive experience then just sitting there and passively watching a television," stated Peter Hutton, the CEO of Eurosport since March 2015, to News Tank Football on 03/08/2015.

Recently taken over by the American Discovery Communications conglomerate (see details below), Peter Hutton explained his thoughts about the sports pay-TV market in general, Eurosport's role in this market, and the objectives of Discovery in entering the sports space.

"We are run by very ambitious people. Discovery is an amazing group in terms of its desire to expand and move into other territories. So it would be wrong to rule out anything, but at the same time acquisitions have to be on the good financial model on which we operate," stated the CEO of Eurosport.
