Italy: Mediaset acquires rights to Ligue 1, Coupe de France & Scottish Premiership for 2015-2018

The Italian pay-TV group Mediaset Premium acquired the exclusive distribution rights, in Italy, to Ligue 1 for the 2015-2018 cycle on 20/07/2015. For the same period, Mediaset Premium also acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to the Coupe de France (French National Cup) and the Ladbrokes Premiership, the Scottish first division.

"All live matches and summaries" of matches of the three competitions will be broadcast on the Premium Calcio and Premium Sport channels, according to Mediaset. The group nevertheless said that it intends to make Ligue 1 a fixture of Friday night, with a match at 20:30.

The 2015-16 season of the Ladbrokes Premiership will begin with the Celtic - Ross County match at Celtic Park on Saturday, 01/08/2015, kick-off at 12:45 local time. The Ligue 1 opening match is LOSC Lille - Paris Saint-Germain at the Stade Pierre Mauroy on Friday, 07/08/2015 at 20:30 CET.
