Setanta Sports Eurasia: acquisition of 2015-2018 rights to Serie A, Ligue 1, Pro League and SPFL

Setanta Sports Eurasia, a subsidiary of the Irish pay-TV group Setanta Sports, extended its exclusive broadcasting rights to the Serie A TIM and Ligue 1 for 2015-2018 on 20/07/2015. The acquisition was made from the British media rights agency MP & Silva.

Setanta Sports Eurasia has also acquired, from MP & Silva, the exclusive broadcasting rights for 2015-2018, to the Jupiler Pro League (BEL) and competitions organised by SPFL (1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th Scottish divisions). The Setanta Sports Eurasia rights portfolio also includes the Emirates FA Cup, the Capital One Cup and the qualifying round for Euro 2016.

The rights acquired by Setanta Sports Eurasia are valid for 13 countries (former Soviet republics), where the pay-TV group is available: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
