Prince Albert II defends AS Monaco's tax exemption

Prince Albert II of Monaco has announced his backing of AS Monaco against the decision of the French Professional Football League (LFP) to force clubs in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 to establish their headquarters in metropolitan France before 01/06/2014 . This measure aims to bring AS Monaco FC into the French tax system, which is less generous than Monaco's.

The club faces the exclusion from all French professional competitions.

AS Monaco have appealed the decision made by the LFP to the French Football Federation on 29/03/2013.

The appeal will be considered by the FFF on 18/04/2013.

AS Monaco is currently not under French tax laws but Monaco's.
