Ligue 1: LOSC Lille create a women's team that will play in Division 2 in 2015-16

LOSC Lille (Ligue 1) officially created a women's football team after the approval of the FFF Executive Committee on 23/07/2015. The new women's team of the Lille club, formed from the merger between FF Templemars-Vendeville (Division 2) and LOSC, will play in Division 2 of the French women's football structure during the 2015-16 season.

A total of 130 licensed players (in all categories) will join the Lille women's team. The first team will play in the annexe of the Stade Lille Métropole, which has a stand of of 300 seats. The youth teams will train in the sports facilities of the Templemars (Nord-Pas-de-Calais, 12km from Lille).

"This year, the objective will be to consolidate our place in Division 2 and then quickly climb to Division 1 for two teams (men's and women's) at the highest level. I would like our players to be an integral part of the club," said Michel Seydoux, the president of LOSC Lille on 23/07/2015.
