Turkey: Turkish Airlines becomes Fenerbahçe SK's shirt sponsor in the 2015-16 European Cups

Turkish Airlines has become the shirt sponsor of Fenerbahçe SK (Spor Toto Super Lig) for the club's matches in the 2015-16 European Cups, the club announced on 27/07/2015. Fenerbahçe are currently facing the Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk (UKR) in the Third Qualifying Round of the Champions League, with the scoreless first first leg (0-0) in Istanbul on 28/07/2015. The second leg is in Donetsk (UKR) on 05/08/2015.

The agreement is estimated at €2.5m for the 2015-16 season, according to Turkish media outlets. The airline was already an official partner and provides transportation for international matches of Fenerbahçe. Turkish Airlines was also held the central shirt space of Galatasaray SK for matches of the 2014-15 Champions League.

Fenerbahçe is still looking for a main shirt sponsor for domestic matches in 2015-16. The club has not found a replacement for the telecommunications company Turk Telecom, which was present on the striped kit until 2013-14.
