FIFA: the letter sent to 209 national federations by Michel Platini, presidential candidate

"In the last few months, I have defended my ideas and proposals to give FIFA back the dignity and the position it deserves. The vacancy for the office of FIFA president and the elective extraordinary FIFA Congress scheduled for 26/02/2016 give me the opportunity to put my words into action. I will not shy away from doing so," wrote Michel Platini, president of UEFA since 2007, in a letter to the 209 presidents and general secretaries of the member associations of FIFA, to announce his candidacy for the presidency of the international federation on 29/07/2015.
