FIFPro: legal complaint against the transfer system will be filed in Brussels on 17/09/2015

"FIFPro will formally file a complaint to the European Commission against the current transfer system of FIFA on 17/09/2015," confirmed Philippe Piat, president of the international players' union, to News Tank Football on 27/07/2015.

FIFPro has threatened, since the spring of 2013, to initiate proceedings against the transfer system to the European authorities (European Commission and Court of Justice). "The process is now irrevocable," Philippe Piat had also said on 10/07/2015.

"FIFA attempted to initiate a new meeting on 14/08/2015 to avoid the filing of complaint, but FIFPro refused. This has gone on long enough! It's too late. We left them enough time," said Philippe Piat to News Tank Football on 27/07/2015.
