Belgium: Eleven Sports Network, distributed by Proximus TV acquires Liga BBVA 2015-2018 rights

The new group of pay-TV Eleven Sports Network, owned by the British company The Channels Co Ltd, acquired the 2015-2018 broadcasting rights, in Belgium, for the Liga BBVA, on 31/07/2015. The rights, acquired from the Spanish audiovisual group Mediapro, are valid for all distribution platforms.

Neither the amount of the acquisition nor the exclusivity (or not) of the broadcasting rights were disclosed. The channels Eleven (dedicated to football) and Eleven Sports (other sports) are distributed in Belgium via the "11+" offer from the pay-TV group Proximus TV. The channel Proximus 11+ broadcast the Liga BBVA in Belgium during the 2012-2015 cycle.
