South America: ESPN extends its broadcasting rights to the Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante until 2020

The American group of pay-TV ESPN International extended its exclusive broadcasting rights, for the nine Spanish-speaking countries in South America, to the Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante until the end of the 2019-20 season, announced on 27/07/2015.

The rights, acquired from the Spanish audiovisual group Mediapro, are valid for all distribution platforms. ESPN will broadcast 190 Liga BBVA matches each season (five games during each matchday of the championship) and 80 hours of replays, magazines and other dedicated content. The broadcaster may also broadcast 231 Liga Adelante games each season (about six per matchday), as well of the the promotion play-offs of the Spanish second division.

The nine Spanish-speaking countries in South America are Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
