Serie A: Thai investor Bee Taechaubol acquires 48% stake in AC Milan for €480m

The Thai investor Bee Taechaubol acquired a 48% stake in AC Milan (Serie A TIM) for €480m, stated the Italian and Thai press on 02/08/2015. This information has not been formalised by the Rossonero club, however Bee Taechaubol confirmed this acquisition on his Instagram account on the same day. The transaction values AC Milan €1bn.

"A deadline of 30/09/2015 has been set for the transfer of the stake and payment of the €480 million," said a spokesman for the Fininvest, holding company of the Berlusconi family which owns the club, to the agency Reuters on 03/08/2015. Fininvest retains 52% of the shares of AC Milan, and Silvio Berlusconi remains the president of the Milanese club.

Bee Taechaubol will become the vice-president of AC Milan, according to Italian press on 02/08/2015. Barbara Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani both retain their duties as vice-presidents and co-CEOs, but a third person will be appointed to this position to take care of the business of the club outside Europe, according to these sources.
