Konami Digital Entertainment, the Japanese video game publisher, has received the license to develop the official video game of Euro 2016, UEFA announced on 05/08/2015.

Konami, which publishes the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise, already has the exclusive gaming license rights of the two major UEFA club competitions: the Champions League and Europa League. The Euro 2016 license allows the publisher to use the official logos of the competition, the official national teams and the rights to model the 10 stadiums that will host the European Championship in France. These rights include the game and/or extension that will be uniquely dedicated to Euro 2016, and not the PES 2016 game, which has its European release scheduled for 17/09/2015.

The Japanese video game publisher generated a turnover of 218bn yen (€1.6bn) and a net profit of 9.5bn yen (€70m) in 2014.
