Bundesliga: beIN Media Group acquires TV rights in France (2015-17), MENA and Australia (2015-20)

beIN Media Group have acquired, from the DFL, the broadcast rights to the Bundesliga in France, the Middle East, North Africa and Australia, announced the Qatari pay-TV group on 02/08/2015. No financial details were disclosed.

The deal covers two seasons (2015-2017) in France and five seasons (2015-2020) in the Middle East, North Africa and Australia. They correspond to all Bundesliga games every season, the promotion and relegation play-offs between the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga, as well as the 2017, 2018 and 2019 German Super Cups. The rights are valid for all distribution platforms.

"These agreements confirm that the Bundesliga has legitimately evolved to become a top international sports media property," said Joerg Daubitzer, CEO of DFL Sports Enterprises, the company that manages the media and commercial rights of the German professional football league, on 02/08/2015.
