Ligue 1: Oscaro continues as shirt sponsor for SC Bastia until 2017-18

Oscaro, an automobile parts website, has continued as the SC Bastia (Ligue 1) shirt sponsor until the end of the 2017-18 season, the Corsican club announced on 07/08/2015.

"Oscaro has invested heavily in Sporting. It is an established Ligue 1 mid-table outfit; apart from the big clubs (in France), few companies have paid so much money for the front of the shirt, and it (the agreement) represents several hundred thousand euros. Our revised figures are not in decline. The club is absolutely not in financial difficulty," said Pierre-Marie Geronimi, president of SC Bastia, on 07/08/2015. The agreement is estimated at €500,000 per season. The club generated €3.15m in sponsorship revenue in 2013-14.

"Media coverage is very positive. The club is creating business for me. If we look at the turnover made in Corsica and commercial spending by Oscaro, it does not cover all of that. But nationally, the economic reality is very interesting," said Pierre-Noël Luiggi, the founder and CEO of Oscaro.
