Ligue 2: the Swiss Ilja Kaenzig appointed CEO of FC Sochaux-Montbéliard

The Swiss Ilja Kaenzig (42 years old) has been appointed CEO of FC Sochaux-Montbéliard (Ligue 2), the club announced on 10/08/2015. He officially takes office on 15/08/2015, the day Laurent Pernet (club president since 02/05/2013) will depart from the club, handing over his responsibilities to Kaenzig.

"His experience, expertise and networks in international football will allow Ilja Kaenzig to support the club in all areas," said Li Wing Sang, the new president of FC Sochaux and CEO of Chinese group Tech Pro Technology Development Limited, which owns the Ledus enterprise. Ledus acquired 100% of FC Sochaux from PSA Peugeot Citroen for €7m on 06/07/2015.

Ilja Kaenzig previously held the CEO position at two Bundesliga clubs: TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen (2002-2004) and Hannover 96 (2004-2006). "More recently, he was appointed CEO of BSC Young Boys (Raiffeisen Super League, SUI) and the Stade de Suisse (31,783 seats) in Bern (SUI). Ilja Kaenzig was also a member of the board of the SFL and was a delegate of UEFA," stated FC Sochaux on 10/08/2015.
