Serie A: Suzuki Italia becomes Torino FC shirt sponsor for the season 2015-16

Suzuki Italia, the Italian subsidiary of the Japanese automobile manufacturer, has become the main shirt sponsor of Torino FC (Serie A TIM) for the 2015-16 season, the club announced on 08/08/2015.

The company had been visible on the upper chest area of the Torino shirt from the 2013-14 season. The contract was valued between €400,000 to €500,000 per year. Suzuki replaces the food group Beretta, who were the main shirt sponsor for an estimated amount between €1m to €1.5m for the 2014-15 season. The club generated €7.52m in commercial revenues during the 2013-14 season, including €2.7m via official sponsors and €1.9m via Kappa, their kit supplier.

  • "I think the partnership between Suzuki and Torino FC is a valuable asset in our brand communication strategy on Italian territory," said Hiroshi Kawamura, president of Suzuki Italia on 08/08/2015.
    • "With our visibility, we market to almost 650,000 viewers per match," indicated the brand at the renewal of their partnership in August 2014.
  • Torino FC finished in 9th place (54 points) in the 2014-15 Serie A championship.
