Spain: Orange TV becomes the second pay-TV operator to distribute beIN Sports España

The telecommunications group Orange España S.A.U has signed a partnership deal with the Spanish audiovisual group Mediapro to distribute the pay-TV channel beIN Sports España, via its pay-TV platform Orange TV, on 07/08/2015.

Orange TV, the third largest operator in the pay-TV market in Spain, is the second group to distribute the channel, a joint venture between Mediapro and beIN Media Group, after Vodafone TV, the second largest market operator, who forged a similar partnership with Mediapro on 04/08/2015.

The same agreement will soon be concluded with the No.1 operator in the pay-TV market in Spain, namely the telecommunications group Telefónica, owner of the operator Movistar TV and the audiovisual group DTS (Canal+ España).

"Mediapro is still negotiating with other pay-TV operators, in accordance with its strategy, to distribute its content via all platforms and all possible operators, to make them more accessible and affordable," stated the Spanish audiovisual group on 07/08/2015.
