Twitter: AS Roma launch their fifth foreign language account (in Portuguese), a record in Italy

AS Roma (Serie A TIM) launched a Portuguese version of their Twitter account (@ASRoma_Brasil), on 30/07/2015. AS Roma now have five foreign versions of their Twitter account: English, Spanish, Indonesian, Arabic and Portuguese.

"This new account will allow the club to directly engage with fans in Brazil and Portugal and communicate on a daily basis with this passionate fanbase," said AS Roma. The launch of the Portuguese account came two days after launching a Twitter account in Arabic, on 28/07/2015.

• The AS Roma website is available in two languages: Italian and English.
• As of 12/08/2015, AS Roma have two Brazilian players and no Portuguese in their squad.

AS Roma are the fourth most followed Italian club on Twitter, and have the most accounts in foreign languages

• As of 12/08/2015, AS Roma had 776,000 followers on their Italian Twitter account, or the fourth largest total in Serie A TIM behind AC Milan, Juventus and FC Internazionale Milano.
