"I think the 2024 Olympics would be beneficial for this city. I think it's who we are. I think we would benefit from it economically. Los Angeles would have a budget of $4.1bn (or €3.68bn), $500m less than what was presented by Boston ($4.6bn, or €4bn). The leaders of the bid team are predicting a final profit of $150m (€135m) mainly based on sponsorship and ticketing revenue, and would offer to cover, where necessary, any additional expenses.
