USA and Canada: beIN Sports extends its broadcasting rights to the Serie A TIM and Liga BBVA

The pay-TV group beIN Sports Americas has extended its broadcasting rights to the Serie A TIM and the Liga BBVA for 2015-2018, in the USA and Canada, according to information gathered by News Tank Football on 14/08/2015.

beIN Sports already owned the broadcasting rights to the Serie A TIM and the Liga BBVA in the USA and Canada for the 2012-2015 period. Although the duration of the broadcasting rights to the Liga BBVA has not been officially announced, it is expected to cover the period from 2015-2020, in accordance with the 5 year contracts recently signed by Spanish broadcaster Mediapro outside of Europe.

The first fixtures of the 2015-16 season in both the Serie A TIM and Liga BBVA already appear in the upcoming channel programming of beIN Sports (English) and beIN Sports en Español (Spanish-speaking) in the USA and Canada.

  • Matchday 1 of the 2015-16 Liga BBVA: from 21 to 24/08/2015.
  • Matchday 1 of the 2015-16 Serie A TIM: from 22 to 24/08/2015.
