The Swiss watchmaker Hublot has become a partner of UEFA, and will be the official timekeeper for the Champions League and Europa League for the 2015-2018 period, the company announced on 17/08/2015.

The Hublot logo is visible on the fourth official's board, which is the same design as the brand's watches. The watchmaker, who is also a partner of FIFA, accumulated 21 minutes of TV visibility during the 2014 World Cup thanks to their sponsorship of the fourth official's board. Hublot's TV presence during the first 62 matches of the 2014 Cup (before the third place play-off and the final) was equivalent to 100m Swiss francs (€82.3m) worth of acquired media, the brand informed News Tank Football in July 2014. As part of the agreement with UEFA, Hublot will also launch signature watches for both UEFA club competitions.

UEFA generated €328.5m in commercial revenues in 2013-14. The Champions League represents 82.5% of these revenues. Each of the competition's major partnerships is estimated at between €30m and €40m per year.
