Bundesliga: the first 9 matches of the season draw 4.01 million subscribers for Sky Deutschland

The nine games of Matchday 1 of the 2015-16 Bundesliga, played from the 14 to 16/08/2015, drew a total of 4.01 million subscribers on average on the German pay-TV network Sky Bundesliga, according to data from two German institutes of audience measurement, AGF and GfK.

The best audience of the weekend was attributed to the match between Borussia Dortmund - VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach (4-0), which attracted an average of 750,000 subscribers on Sky Bundesliga 1 on Saturday, 15/08/2015 at 18:30 CET. The lowest audience was for the match between 1. FSV Mainz 05 - FC Ingolstadt 04 (0-1), watched by an average of 60,000 subscribers on Sky Bundesliga 6 on Saturday, 15/08/2015 at 15:30 CET.

Two games from Matchday 1 of the Bundesliga were co-broadcast by Sky and the public broadcaster ARD:
• FC Bayern Munich - Hamburger SV (5-0) on 14/08/2015 (20:30 CET), which drew an average of 7.45 million viewers on ARD.
• Borussia Dortmund - VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach (4-0), which attracted 4.47 million viewers on the public channel, six times more than the pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland.
