Matchday 1 of the 2015-16 Bundesliga season drew an average of 42,888 spectators per match, for a stadium fill rate of 95%, from 14 to 16/08/2015.

The match between Borussia Dortmund - Borussia Mönchengladbach (4-0 on 15/08/2015) drew the best attendance of Matchday 1 with 81,359 spectators at Signal Iduna Park, a fill rate of 100%. The match between newly promoted SV Darmstadt 98 and Hannover 96 (2-2 on 15/08/2015), attended by 16,500 people, attracted the smallest crowd of the weekend.

The average attendance of the German championship in the 2014-15 season was 43,539 spectators, similar to the 2013-14 season (43,460). The Bundesliga achieved a fill rate of 92.3% in 2014-15.
