Spain: LaLiga publishes the world map of broadcasters for the 2015-16 Liga BBVA season

The Spanish Professional Football League has offered, via its website, a world map of the official broadcasters of the Liga BBVA for the 2015-16 season, since 18/08/2015. LaLiga awarded the international distribution of audiovisual rights for Spanish professional competitions for the 2015-2020 cycle to the agency Mediapro Sports on 19/06/2015. Mediapro tends to sign contracts for three years (2015-2018) with European broadcasters, and five for those outside Europe.

Some broadcasters are not included in the world map of the Liga BBVA:

• beIN Sports, which owns the rights the Liga BBVA in North America (excluding Mexico), Europe (France, Poland and Turkey via Digiturk), North Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
• ESPN throughout South America.
• SuperSport throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

Many countries in Central and Eastern Europe, including Russia, have not, as yet, acquired the broadcasting rights to the Liga BBVA for 2015-16, despite the distribution of sub-licensed rights in this region by the media rights agency Sportsman.
