Liga BBVA: the 2015-16 calendar is advanced one week from Matchday 17, now on 30 and 31/12/2015

The Spanish Professional Football League, the Spanish Federation and the union of Spanish players have reached an agreement for a change in the calendar for the 2015-16 Liga BBVA season, announce the RFEF, LaLiga and the AFE on 19/08/2015. This change is the result of a request from the Federation, which wanted the 38^th and final matchday, originally scheduled for 22/05/2016, advanced so that international players could be available for their national teams earlier, to prepare for Euro 2016 (in France, from 10/06 to 10/07/2016).

Changes to the 2015-16 Liga BBVA calendar, as of 19/08/2015:

• Matchday 17 originally scheduled for 03/01/2016, will be advanced to 30 and 31/12/2015.
• From Matchday 18 forward, all matchdays are advanced to a previous weekly date, relative to the initial calendar: Matchday 18 will be well played on the date originally scheduled for the Matchday 17 (on 03/01/2016), Matchday 19 will be played on the orginal dates of Matchday 18, and so on.
• The 38^th and final matchday, originally scheduled for 22/05/2016, is thus now re-scheduled for 15/05/2015.
