Premier League: Aviva end shirt sponsorship of Norwich City, but remain a partner until 2016-17

The insurance company Aviva, who are the shirt sponsor of Norwich City FC (Premier League), will end its visibility on the Canaries' kit at the end of the 2015-16 season, and will become a "community partner" of the club from 2016-17 to 2018-19, the club announced on 20/08/2015. The company, born from the merger of Norwich Union and CGU, has been the shirt sponsor of the club for eight seasons.

Aviva paid an estimated £1m (€1.4m) for the agreement in 2015-16. From June 2016, the insurance company will actively support Norwich City FC charities at a local level. Since 2008-09, Aviva has made its space on the front of the club shirt avaliable for one match each season to give exposure to a charity.

The club achieved a turnover of £95.5m (€135.8) in the 2013-14 Premier League season. Sponsorship and advertising revenues accounted for £9.14m (€13m).
