Netherlands: SBS 6 acquires the live TV rights for the 2015-2018 national cup (semi-finals + final)

The Dutch free-TV channel SBS 6 acquired the domestic broadcast rights for the semi-finals and the final of the KNVB Beker, the Dutch national cup, from 2015 to 2018, on 20/08/2015. The rights were acquired from EMM (Eredivisie Media & Marketing), the company that owns the Dutch branches of the Fox broadcasting group.

EMM and the KNVB reached agreement, on 18/11/2013, for the domestic broadcast rights to the 2014-2018 Dutch cup, as well as the Dutch national team's home friendly matches:

• The free-TV channel Fox broadcasts the Oranje's home friendly matches, the semi-finals and the final of the KNVB Beker and the "Johann Cruyff Schaal" (The Johann Cruyff Trophy) -- which is the Dutch Super Cup between the last winners of the Eredivisie and the Dutch cup.
• The pay-TV channel Fox Sports Eredivisie broadcasts all other KNVB Beker fixtures.

The semi-finals and the final of the Dutch cup, the highlights of all the matches in the competition, including the "Johann Cruyff Schaal" in 2016, 2017 and 2018, will now be broadcast by SBS 6, instead of Fox.
