Premier League: Ticketmaster partners with Aston Villa until 2017-18

The ticketing platform Ticketmaster has become the exclusive partner of Aston Villa FC (Premier League) until the end of the 2017-18 season, the club announced on 19/08/2015.

The company, which belongs to the US group Live Nation Entertainment, will allow fans of the Birmingham club to buy and sell tickets -- particularly season tickets -- on the secure Ticketmaster platform Seatwave. Aston Villa have become the first Premier League club to partner with Ticketmaster, while the main competitors in the ticketing platform market, StubHub (Everton FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC) and Viagogo (Newcastle United FC), have been present for several seasons. Aston Villa ended their contract with Viagogo in 2014-15. Viagogo also did not extend its agreement with Manchester City FC after the 2014-15 season.

Aston Villa made £12.8m (€17.48m) in matchday revenue during the 2013-14 season.
