The watchmaker Royal London has become the official timekeeper of West Ham United FC (Premier League) until the end of the 2016-17 season, the club announced on 22/08/2015.

Royal London are entitled to a presence at the stadium on matchdays, and will launch a range of limited edition watches to commemorate West Ham's final season at the Boleyn Ground (35,000 seats), before the club moves to the Olympic Stadium in London for 2016-17. With this agreement, Royal London is primarily aiming to develop their international brand awareness.

The club generated £13.6m (€16.8m) in commercial revenue, excluding merchandising and licensing, during the 2013-14 season.

  • West Ham United achieved a record turnover of £114.8m (€141.3m), excluding player trading, during the 2013-14 financial year (from 01/06/2013 to 31/05/2014), up 27.9% compared to the the 2012-13 financial year (£89.8m, €105.1m at the time).
