"The FIFA Israel-Palestine Monitoring Committee, comprising representatives from the Israel Football Association (IFA) and the Palestinian Football Association (PFA), led by their respective presidents Ofer Eini and Jibril Rajoub, held its first meeting today at the home of FIFA in Zurich (SUI), under the chairmanship of Tokyo Sexwale and in the presence of FIFA president Blatter," announced the international federation on 26/08/2015.

The Palestinian Federation had intended to submit a proposal to suspend the Israeli Federation at the 65th FIFA Congress in Zurich (SUI) on 29/05/2015. Jibril Rajoub, president of the PFA, finally agreed to withdraw this proposal, but requested the creation of a committee on the Palestinian issue, a proposal which was approved by the Congress. FIFA announced the appointment of Tokyo Sexwale, the former South African minister, to chair this committee on 12/06/2015.

"During the meeting, the FIFA Monitoring Committee discussed details related to its mandate and clarified its composition," said FIFA on 26/08/2015.
