Bundesliga: the nine games of Matchday 3 draw 3.59 million subscribers on Sky channels

All nine games of Matchday 3 of the 2015-16 Bundesliga, played from 28 to 30/08/2015, cumulatively drew at least 3.59 million subscribers on average on the German pay-TV group Sky Deutschland, according to data from two German institutes of audience measurement, AGF and GfK.

The best audience of the weekend was attributed to the match between FC Bayern Munich - Bayer 04 Leverkusen (3-0), which drew 800,000 subscribers on average on Sky Bundesliga 1 on Saturday 29/08/2015 at 18:30 CET. The smallest audiences were for the matches between FC Augsburg - FC Ingolstadt (0-1) and SV Darmstadt 98 - TSG 1899 Hoffenheim (0-0), both watch by 87,000 subscribers on average on Sky Bundesliga 5 and 6, on 29/08/2015 at 15:30 CET).

  • The pay-TV group Sky Deutschland holds the broadcasting rights to all Bundesliga games in Germany for the 2013-2017 cycle.
  • The matches are broadcast on the Sky Bundesliga channels (1 to 6); Sky Bundesliga 1 broadcasts a multi-match simulcast on Saturdays at 15:30 CET.
