FIFA: "Term limits and financial transparency" on FIFA reform agenda (Gianni Infantino, UEFA)

"We have heard some of the presentations. The points are the same: term limits, financial transparency of money in and out. Once you can secure all these things this will be a very important step," said Gianni Infantino, the UEFA general secretary, in Monaco on 28/08/2015.

Gianni Infantino (SUI) is one of two members -- the other is Alasdair Bell (SCO), the UEFA director of judicial affairs -- appointed by the European confederation onto the 2016 FIFA Reform Committee, the composition of which was unveiled by FIFA on 11/08/2015. The committee is responsible for developing a series of reform proposals that will be presented at the forthcoming FIFA extraordinary Congress in Zurich (SUI) on 26/02/2016; the Congress will also elect a successor to Joseph Blatter for the presidency of the international federation.

The committee is composed of 13 members, 12 from the confederations (two for each of the six, UEFA, AFC, CONCACAF, CAF, CONMEBOL and OFC) and the independent chairman, François Carrard (SUI). The first meeting of the 2016 FIFA Reform Committee will be held in Bern (SUI) on 02…
