Rugby: Japanese company Fujitsu becomes an official sponsor of the World Cup 2015

Fujitsu, a Japanese company specialising in solutions for information and communication technology, became an official sponsor of the the Rugby World Cup 2015, Would Rugby announced on 01/09/2015. The partnership was announced just 17 days before the start of the competition, hosted in England from 18/09 to 31/10/2015.

Fujitsu joins two other Japanese companies, Canon and Toshiba, as an official sponsor of the competition. "This partnership underlines the growing interest in rugby in Japan (the next World Cup host country, in 2019)," said Murray Barnett, responsible for the sales and marketing of World Rugby.

The commercial success of the 2011 edition in New Zealand and the 2015 edition in England should allow the redistribution of £350m (€475m) for the development of the sport in more than 120 countries, announced World Rugby.
