HCL, the Indian information technology group, has become a global partner of Manchester United FC (Premier League) in 2015-16, the club announced on 02/09/2015.

HCL and Manchester United will work together to unveil a number of digital initiatives to transform the experience of fans worldwide. The Indian group will create the United Xperience Lab, at Old Trafford (75,000 seats), to test various digital technologies. "It is a very exciting prospect and the possibilities of what we can achieve are endless. Through digital transformation we hope to change the way in which our fans experience and interact with Manchester United. Together with HCL we aim to develop innovative ways to connect with our fans around the world, providing a blueprint for other global organisations," said Richard Arnold, CEO of Manchester United.

Sponsorship helped the Red Devils generate £135.8m (€170.2m) in commercial revenue in 2014, representing an increase of £44.9m (€56.3m), up 49.4 % compared to 2013 (£90.9m, €114m).
