France: V. Bolloré named chairman of the Canal+ board, J-C Thiery replaces Bertrand Meheut as chief

Vincent Bolloré, the chairman of the supervisory board of the French media and telecommunications group Vivendi, has taken over the chairmanship of the supervisory board of the Groupe Canal+ (which Vivendi owns), replacing Arnaud de Puyfontaine, the CEO of Vivendi, at a meeting of the French broadcasting group's supervisory board held on 03/09/2015.

Jean-Christophe Thiery, the chairman of Bolloré Média, was appointed the chairman of the Canal+ management board. He succeeds Bertrand Meheut, in office since 2003, who will now "advise Vincent Bolloré on important developments that Vivendi wants to see achieved by the Groupe Canal+".

Julien Verley, the CEO, since November 2012, of nc+, a company born from the merger of Cyfra+, a satellite platform of the Canal+ group in Poland, and the Polish operator "n", also joined the management structure of the Groupe Canal+. Maxime Saada, appointed CEO of the Groupe Canal+, replacing Rodolphe Belmer on 03/07/2015, retains his office.
